✝ Gospel of The Day - Matthew 10:37-42

Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and whoever does not take up his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me. Whoever receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet's reward, and whoever receives a righteous man because he is righteous will receive a righteous man's reward. And whoever gives only a cup of cold water to one of these little ones to drink because he is a disciple amen, I say to you, he will surely not lose his reward."

✝ ಇಂದಿನ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆ - ಮತ್ತಾಯ 10:37-42

“ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಅಥವಾ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವನು ನನ್ನವನಾಗಲು ಯೋಗ್ಯನಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಅಥವಾ ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವನು ನನ್ನವನಾಗಲು ಯೋಗ್ಯನಲ್ಲ. ತನ್ನ ಶಿಲುಬೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸದವನು ನನ್ನವನಾಗಲು ಯೋಗ್ಯನಲ್ಲ. ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಅದನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ನನಗೋಸ್ಕರವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಅದನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. “ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸುವವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸುವವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಾತನನ್ನೇ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯೆಂದು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸುವವನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗೆ ಸಿಗುವ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಸತ್ಪುರುಷನನ್ನು ಸತ್ಪುರುಷನೆಂದು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸುವವನು ಸತ್ಪುರುಷನಿಗೆ ಸಿಗುವ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಈ ಚಿಕ್ಕವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯನೆಂದು ಕುಡಿಯಲು ಒಂದು ಲೋಟ ತಣ್ಣೀರನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟರೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯದೆಹೋಗನೆಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.”
